Auction terms

Last updated September 2026

1. What this is

Gonçalo Soares (“I”, “me”) is selling advertising placements on a Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992) that has not yet been purchased. The proceeds of this auction fund the purchase. Placing a bid means you have read and accepted these terms.

2. How the auction works

  • Each of the eleven areas of the car is a separate auction.
  • Every auction opens at $0. Each bid must be at least $250 above the current highest bid and a whole multiple of $250.
  • Bidding opens at 12 Sept 2026, 00:00 UTC and closes at 31 Oct 2026, 20:00 UTC. I may extend the closing time; I will not shorten it once bidding has opened.
  • The highest bid on each area at the moment of closing wins that area.
  • A bid placed within the last 5 minutes moves the closing time to 5 minutes from that bid, so bidding ends when nobody is willing to go higher rather than when the clock catches someone out.
  • Bids are placed with a verified work email address so that each placement is tied to an identifiable brand.

3. A bid is a commitment

A bid is a binding offer to pay the amount bid for the placement if it is the highest bid when the auction closes. Bids cannot be withdrawn. No payment is taken when a bid is placed.

4. Payment

  • Winners are invoiced by email when the auction closes and have 72 hours from that email to pay through the payment link provided.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Amounts are in USD and exclusive of any taxes that may apply to you.
  • If a winner does not pay within the payment window, their bid lapses and the placement is offered to the next highest bidder on the same terms.

5. Artwork

  • The placement carries your logo or brand name.
  • Artwork must comply with the vehicle advertising regulations of the United Arab Emirates and any other jurisdiction the car is driven in.
  • Every piece of artwork needs my written approval before it is applied. I may decline artwork that is unlawful, misleading, adult, political, religious, that promotes tobacco, gambling or weapons, or that I judge would damage the project. If we cannot agree on acceptable artwork, the payment is refunded and the placement is released.
  • Production and application of the livery are at my expense.

6. Duration and content

  • The branding stays on the car for 12 months from the day the livery is first applied.
  • During that time the sponsor appears in the content I make with the car, and is tagged whenever their placement is on screen. I decide the content; I do not guarantee a particular number of posts, views or impressions.
  • If the car is sold, written off or otherwise leaves my possession before the period ends, I refund the remaining months pro rata.

7. If the target is not reached

Every winning bid still stands and still goes on the car. If the auction raises less than the purchase price, I cover the difference myself — the car gets bought either way, and no spot is ever cancelled for coming up short.

8. Right to refuse

I may refuse or remove a bid, or decline to work with a brand, at my discretion — for example where the brand or its products are unlawful, where a bid appears fraudulent, or where the bidder is not who they say they are. Any payment already made is refunded in full.

9. Liability

This is an individual project, not a media agency. To the extent permitted by law, my liability to a sponsor is limited to the amount that sponsor has paid.
